Deborah Harty

Deborah Harty is an artist and senior lecturer at Loughborough University (UK). She is co-director, with Russ Marshall, of the online journal TRACEY drawing and visualisation and the Drawing Research Network. Harty also acts as Chair of the Drawing Research Group at Loughborough University. She completed her practice-led PhD drawing//experience: a process of translation at Loughborough University in 2010. Harty has curated several group exhibitions including:Performing Drawology, (with Phil Sawdon) Bonington Gallery, Nottingham (2016); Drawology: one year on Lanchester Gallery, Coventry (2014); Drawology Bonington Gallery, Nottingham (2013). Practice-led research publications include Wandering through drawing’s trace, Cambridge Scholars (2020); Science of Seeing Skyscapes, Routledge (2019); Three States [of Dialogue]: You Me Us (with Phil Sawdon) Cambridge Scholars (2017). She lives and works in Loughborough UK.
